The UFC has a new lightweight champion in Ben Henderson. Saturday night in Japan saw Ben Henderson score a unanimous decision over Frankie Edgar to take the lightweight belt.

Henderson came into the fight with a terrific game plan and followed it with a tremendous performance. Heavy kicks to the body of Edgar helped Henderson to keep Edgar away for 25 minutes. Two judges scored it 49-46 and 48-47, Henderson by UD.

 

In other news, Ryan Bader defeated Japanese fan-favorite Quinton "Rampage" Jackson by unanimous decision, in a dominant performance from the opening bell.
